The 2nd International Joint Symposium of

JSBMS and MSACL

This joint symposium of JSBMS and MSACL is convened as one of the 47th annual meeting programs of JSBMS (September 9th-10th, 2022) and a forum for discussing the application of mass spectrometry (clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, metabolomics/proteomics, MS imaging, toxicology, newborn mass screening and others) by bringing together academic and industrial experts.

The new coronavirus epidemic situation has a concern for the organizers and is not yet safe. Therefore, this joint symposium will be held online on Friday afternoon, September 9th. The update information will be announced on the website (https://jsbms47th-ridai.jimdofree.com/).

This symposium will be conducted by the speaker’s video lecture (25 minutes) as well as the 1st joint symposium (Kyoto, 2020). The questions for the presentation will be answered via e-mail. The e-mail address described in the abstract will be used for the communication and discussion.

Please send the lecture video and abstract to the annual meeting secretariat until June 30th. The abstract is written within 1 page of A4 paper. There should be the title, names and affiliations of authors, text (including Background (Introduction), Methods, Results and Conclusion). It is acceptable to include figures, tables and references if necessary. The e-mail address of the corresponding author should be written on the footer. Please submit your abstract as the Microsoft Word (.docx) format. The abstract format is available from the website (https://jsbms47th-ridai.jimdofree.com/).

The presentation content will be published as a proceeding paper in the JSBMS journal, “Medical Mass Spectrometry”. Please submit your presentation by December 20th, 2022 to this journal in proceeding format including Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, References (http://www.jsbms.jp/english/publish/).

This joint symposium will also have poster presentations from the MSACL members on the web (September 9th-10th). The topics are the application of mass spectrometry in the fields of clinical chemistry, clinical microbiology, metabolomics/proteomics, MS imaging, toxicology, newborn mass screening and others.

The deadline for the poster presentation is June 30th, 2022. Please send your abstract along with the registration form to the annual meeting secretariat until June 30th. The abstract is written within 1 page of A4 paper. There should be the title, names and affiliations of authors, text (including Background (Introduction), Methods, Results and Conclusion). It is acceptable to include figures, tables and references if necessary. The e-mail address of the corresponding author should be written on the footer.
